Hi ~ This is Hongdae Leo Guesthouse

Today, a Russain guest gave us a surprise present!

She is a citizen of Ufa in West Russia.  

She gave a souvenir for us. There are some pictures of famous spots in Ufa on the souvenir.

 

And we got some chocolate from Russia and coffee from Vietnam!!

There is a unsettling baby on the chocolate wrapper.

 

Thanks to the guests, we could make some happy memories.

The Octopus Man named Alex

.Hello! This is Leo Guesthouse!

Last time, we at Leo Guesthouse made a post about the kitchen.

Most people wouldn't think someone would actually use the kitchen at the guesthouse.

When I choose a guesthouse, the kitchen to me was not very important I thought to myself.

However, I will reveal the one man who does use the kitchen.

This is one of our staff of Leo Guesthouse, Alex!

Today Alex cooked Octopus Ramyeon!

Alex thinks nutrition in food is very important so he put the octopus in the ramyeon.

This is the Octopus Ramyeon prepared

Even though there was too much water, which reduced the taste...

The ramyeon Alex made was very unique!

And so, it was really interesting cooking in the kitchen with the staff.

Thanks to the experience, it was more delicious!

Today I'd like to introduce the kitchen in Leo Guesthouse!

It is really rare place that offers facilities for cooking with staffs, friends and other guests.

It's also an unique culture Guesthouse only has.

 You can make a really good memory by cooking with other people in Leo Guesthouse.

Only have to do is buying some ingredients for your food.

Almost all of the basic ingredients have been already prepared.

 

There is a refrigerator so you don't have to worry about the ingredients going bad.

There are two Hanok Villages (Korean style house village) in Seoul.

It takes 20~30 minutes by subway to go to both of the villages.

 

Two villages are similar but different in the term of the history.

Bukchon Hanok Village was naturally created after the village was designated as a preservation district.

However the Namsangol Hanok Villaged was created by moving and restoring the Hanok which was originally placed in other side in Seoul.

 

The entrance fee is free and you can take several types of traditional experience so this village is already popular to many tourists.

Sometimes there are some couples that takes wedding photos in this village.

If you want a tour guide, you can refer this schedule and take a more valuable time!

There are so many famous restaurants (some were even broadcast on TV program) nearby the Chungmuro Station.

It is very nice place to travel and I recommend it~!

Happy dinner with our staffs&guests

We Hongdae Leo guest house have a foreign staffs who help us managing the guest house. 

They stay for 2 weeks ~ 2 months and the countries which they come from are so various! 

Even though it is not that much time to work with them, we are so friendly and had so many conversation.

Last week, we had a dinner (chicken!!) together and had a really good time. 

It is so thankful to meet these friends and I think it is a good chance to stay in guest house!
